Exciting Opportunity: Food Service Supervisor at Subway in Oshawa!

Are you passionate about food service and ready to take on a leadership role? Subway in Oshawa, ON is looking for a dedicated Food Service Supervisor to join our team. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of $18.00 per hour for a 40-hour work week, starting as soon as possible. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is ready to make a difference in our dynamic environment.

 

About the Role:

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include establishing work schedules, supervising staff in food preparation and portioning, and training team members in their job duties, as well as in sanitation and safety procedures. You will also be responsible for estimating the ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation, hiring new staff, and maintaining quality control standards for both food and service.

 

Key Duties:

You will address customer complaints or concerns promptly and maintain detailed records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage. Preparing food order summaries for the chef and ensuring the proper assembly and delivery of food trays will also be part of your daily tasks. Supervising a team of 3-4 people, including food and beverage servers, food service counter attendants, and kitchen helpers, you will ensure that all work schedules are efficiently managed.

 

Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure with tight deadlines. You will need to be physically active, with tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods. It’s a physically demanding job that requires a high level of stamina and flexibility.

 

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking candidates with a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience in the food service industry. Ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral communication abilities, and the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances. Being a team player and having a client-focused approach are essential traits for success in this role.
