About the Role

As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, adapting, installing, testing, and maintaining electronic components and systems. These systems are used in a variety of applications including battery, solar, ESS, portable power solutions, communications, transport, mining, medical, IoT, telecommunications, and many other industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering and Design: Create, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. Collaborate with customers and the internal BDM team to develop new circuits and portable power solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Battery Technologies: Possess a strong understanding of primary and rechargeable battery technologies, including the five main chemistries.
• DC Power Systems: Design, repair, and troubleshoot DC distribution and power systems. Optimize battery cell and pack design for efficient assembly techniques.
• Product Development: Design schematics for battery, solar, charger, and DC power manufacturing and assembly. Upgrade existing product designs to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Prototyping: Build prototypes to assess technical feasibility and present these concepts to management and customers for field testing.
• Production Optimization: Collaborate with the production team to optimize designs for manufacturability from the concept stage. Provide support to production and drafting teams during the introduction of new products.
• Research and Development: Conduct concept designs and feasibility studies for new applications. Test and research new battery, charger, and DC power products to be included in our range.
• Quality Control: Prepare lab inspection reports on repairs and returned DC power products, batteries, and test equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components. Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in battery technologies, DC power systems, and electronic schematics. Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders. Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaborative project development. Innovation: Demonstrated ability to innovate and optimize electronic designs for efficiency and performance.
