About the Role

As the Plant Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will report to the Branch General Manager and the General Manager of Engineering & Production Services. You will lead a team of proactive maintenance technicians, ensuring the highest efficiency and uptime of all branch equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Production team to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute and track scheduled maintenance activities using CMMS.
• Minimize Downtime: Ensure equipment uptime to meet daily DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) objectives.
• Task Delegation: Assign and oversee both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, ensuring timely and safe completion.
• Efficiency Assessments: Regularly evaluate plant operations to identify opportunities for improvement and automation, developing Capex proposals.
• Upgrade Initiatives: Lead upgrade and installation projects in coordination with regional engineering teams and contractors, adhering to Capex requirements and financial targets.
• Financial Management: Manage maintenance work within monthly budgetary constraints.
• Contractor Supervision: Oversee on-site contractors, ensuring compliance with WHSMS protocols and budget guidelines.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards related to wastewater, fire, electricity, asbestos, and boilers.
• Safety Protocols: Maintain WHS Management, Housekeeping, and 5S protocols.

Essential Criteria

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Trade certification (Mechanical or Electrical) with relevant experience in Plant Maintenance and Project Management.
• Experience: Over 5 years of expertise in Plant Maintenance & Engineering Management or a similar role.
• Relationship Management: Proven track record of successful supplier and R&D relationship management.
• Safety Measures: Experience in leading and implementing corrective measures from safety risk assessments.
• Standards Compliance: Proficiency in AUS/NZ Standards for production environment compliance and quality assurance.
• LEAN Principles: Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Safety Analysis: Experience in developing and executing Job Safety/Hazard Analysis for upgrades and installations.
• Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License required.
