Offering a competitive hourly wage between $28.50 and $30.00, this full-time permanent position promises a stimulating work atmosphere with 30 to 40 hours per week.

 

We welcome you to start as soon as possible, bringing your skills and enthusiasm to our vibrant kitchen. Whether you're a seasoned chef or just starting your culinary career, this role is perfect for someone with one to two years of experience and a high school diploma or equivalent experience.

 

As our Assistant Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory. Your creativity will shine as you develop new recipes and prepare complete meals and specialty foods for events like banquets. You will supervise and collaborate with other kitchen staff, ensuring that all dishes meet our high-quality standards.

 

Your responsibilities will also include preparing meals regularly or for special guests, managing food and kitchen supply requisitions, arranging for equipment purchases and repairs, and planning menus. You will need to accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances, making sure everyone enjoys a safe and delightful dining experience.

Specializing in sushi and Japanese cuisine, you will bring your expertise in sushi preparation techniques to the table. The job demands attention to detail and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, often requiring you to stand for extended periods.
