If you hold a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and have a Class 1 or A driver’s license with an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, you might be the ideal fit. Experience is an asset, but not a necessity.

 

Your Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll drive straight or articulated trucks, often as part of a two-person team or convoy. Your responsibilities will include operating and inspecting your vehicle, overseeing its condition, and ensuring the functionality of tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage. You'll handle payment transactions for goods, perform brake adjustments, and carry out emergency roadside repairs when necessary. Pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections are part of your daily routine, along with preventive maintenance and relaying information to central dispatch. Accurate recording of cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption are crucial, as well as tarping and securing cargo for safe transport.
